Daily writing prompt
Do you play in your daily life? What says “playtime” to you?

Hey everyone!

I’m diving into the Bloganuary 2024 blogging challenge (more about it here). Today is about playtime in our daily lives. You might think playing is just for kids, but it’s a big part of my adult life. It’s my way to relax, have fun, and shake off the daily grind.

Playing With My Son

Most of my playtime revolves around my three-year-old. We’re exploring board games like “Spitz pass auf!” And then there’s hide and seek – my son’s favorite! It’s amazing how something so simple can be so much fun.

Playtime at Work

Playtime isn’t just at home. At work, with my team at Woo, we’ve got this cool thing going. Every week, we meet up online and play games on Boardgamearena.

Tech Play

But there’s another side to my playtime – the techy stuff. I love diving into computers and the internet, exploring new tools, messing around with code, and getting hands-on with the latest tech. Give me a Raspberry Pi or a server to tinker with, especially if it’s Debian Linux-based, and I’m in my element. It’s like a puzzle, figuring out how things work and what I can make them do.

Playtime: More Than Just Fun

So, what’s the big deal about playtime? It’s not just fun and games. It’s about taking a break, learning new things, and making connections – with my kid, colleagues, or even the tech in front of me. Every moment of play is a chance to step back and enjoy life a bit more.
