Hey there!
Today’s Bloganuary prompt is about my time at college.
It’s been quite a ride for me, from learning the ropes of the music industry to diving deep into digital innovation. Let me take you on a tour of my educational journey.
Popakademie: My Launchpad into the Creative Industries
My adventure started at Popakademie, a university that’s like no other because of its close ties to the music industry. Imagine studying business in a place where music isn’t just a subject, it’s the heart and soul of everything. Here, I wasn’t just buried in books; I lived and breathed music. Attending concerts and networking events became a part of my weekly routine, immersing me in the real-world pulse of the industry.
In this stage of my educational journey, I learned the business side of music. This wasn’t just about tunes and talent; it was about understanding how the industry ticks. This experience was my ticket into the world of record labels, where I landed a gig in online marketing.
Zeppelin University: Stepping into the World of Enterprise Innovation
After getting my feet wet in the music industry, I was ready for the next big challenge. Enter Zeppelin University, a private business school located in the south of Germany. Here, I shifted gears into the program for digital innovation and business management.
Zeppelin University was a whole different ball game. It wasn’t just about conventional learning; it was about thinking outside the box, innovation, and creativity in business. We learned design thinking and business process management. Every class and every project was a step towards understanding how the digital world is reshaping enterprise-stage companies as we know them.
Global Perspectives: Cambridge and San Francisco
My master’s degree had an extra twist – I got to be part of exchange programs at the University of Cambridge and the University of San Francisco.
At Cambridge, I was surrounded by centuries of academic excellence. This setting was inspiring, to say the least. The blend of tradition and modern thought was mind-blowing. And then there was San Francisco – the heart of innovation and tech. Being in a city that’s at the forefront of digital technology was exhilarating. The program I attended was called the “Silicon Valley Immersion Program“, and it was one of the most inspiring experiences of my life.
